Moving forward with our CSR initiatives
A vital element of our ongoing Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) venture is our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Recently we have been involved in a low cost housing development project, assisting Heart Capital, an impact investment company, in the next step of its E-Khaya Housing Solutions programme. EES is sponsoring the materials and resources needed to build the programme’s fourth innovative, sustainable, sandbag technology house, which will be situated in Kayamandi. Read more about this exciting project which EES believes could just be the answer to South Africa’s housing problem.
Our May white paper by Rodrigue Kamba, Project Engineer at EES, is titled ‘Biomass – a crucial renewable energy source if generated correctly’. It covers biomass energy, its pros and cons, and the ways in which it can be used to supply renewable energy and help overcome the challenges inherent in this industry.
Daki Nkanyane (B. Tech: Quantity Surveying; National Diploma: Building) recently joined the EES Johannesburg office as a Project Manager.
