A repository of douments for all Electrical Engineering Solutions’ current projects is now accessible online to all registered clients, professionals and contractors working with the company. This will ensure that all those involved in any aspect of a project have the latest plans, schedules and other relevant documents to hand.

“This is a major step in improving communication between all those active on a project. It will mean that everyone is kept abreast of current plans, any changed specifications or timelines and scope creep, and can adjust their operations to make optimum use of their time and resources,” says Darren Hemphill of Baseline IT who supports the application.

The most up-to-date versions of plans and documents will be accessible and only those with permission to access and amend these can do so. The name of the person who checked out any document to amend it is clearly visible to all registered users. The system keeps track of who made changes and when so there is full transparency and accountability. Access to the repository will be strictly controlled to ensure the necessary confidentiality on any project. Users will have access onlyto the documents of the projects in which they are involved.
