Open Systems and Interoperability
With the clients stringent design criteria, the installed
system had to be a vendor independent system comprising
commercial-of-the-shelf (cots) products. This involved a global search

specific security fields and whocould demonstrate that their operating
systems met the open system criteria for successful integration into
the security management system.
